Imagine ... wrong and misinformed  advice from a classmate. What seemed like a simple solution to save on pads, radically changed this young girl's life. Rejected and now facing much larger obstacles. 

Early Menstrual Education and affordable solutions radically impact the course of many girls lives.

Hope Nankunda — feeling emotional in Kampala, Uganda.

When I met and spoke to this 13 year old mother, I couldn't help it but break the rules of my own profession (Breaking down in the presence of a client): She cried as she told her story of how she was sent away from home to go stay with the man responsible for her pregnancy. The boda boda guy also told her that He is not the one responsible and told her never to come back to him:Meanwhile she went for sex because her friends told her that if she does, she will no longer spend 8 days in her periods but will start spending 3 days only:
Since she had challenges of access to sanitary pads, her friend's advice was a solution to a very big problem:
Now she is struggling to get a chance to go back to school but its not easy as she has no one to take care of her child neither does she have anyone to support her to go to school again:
Many girls out there are faced with the same or even worse problems:
When we ask parents to speak to their daughters about puberty and it related issues, many say that its very difficult for them. 
But shall we wait for more girls to become victims of teenage pregnancy for us to start talking!!!

Imagine having sex with a dirty motorcycle man, motivated by that hope you were cutting down your period by 4 days, so you could afford less pads every month… Imagine be rejected by your family because your father did not provide you this protection ... and you were just a 13 year old girl trying to stay in school.
