Although difficult to leave them, it was such an honour to visit and give dignity to some precious inmates at the 
Lagnata Women's Prison in Nairobi, Kenya.

Sadly, many women find themselves imprisoned over loans they can not pay (or inherit once their husband dies). Often times, they are left for years with visits and provisions from family being very scarce (and no, sanitary pads are not provided by the system)

I wish I could just pay all those stupid debts and set every woman free, BUT,  I was able to visit them and tell them that they are not forgotten, that they are loved and precious and deserve dignity.

Today, the words of Jesus made my heart sad and glad all at the same time ... "I was in prison and you came and visited me". I saw His eyes sparkle today ... it was a moment to be cherished.
