Here is a precious picture of our Alexandria Dignity team. 

This picture was taken on the day we dreamed and schemed and planned for how we could take the little that we had and make it go even farther. 

The need is so great here, that no matter how big our bucket is, it seems no match compared  to the ocean of need ... but we do not lose hope and rather jump in deep ... and figured out how we could show women very simple ways to make our dignity kits go furher ... use them as patterns and teach them how to “Knock us off” with additional t-shirts they may have on hand ... even one. 

At our first attempt, a family of 3 came (Mother, daughter & sister). With 5 t-shirts between them, a few snips of sizzors and needle and thread produced an additional 24 sanitary pad liners to go with their dignity kits!

So thrilling to see innovation and empowerment go hand in hand.
